CSozV4VWIAEOvmJManchester Rangers unbeaten run came to an end at the most disappointing of times as Chester Gladiators pipped them to the post in the North West Mens League Division 4 final.

The Rangers started brightly and after some solid defence and big hits, found their way into the Gladiators have with good possession. Jacob Winstanley went close and Nick Ryan exposed Chester’s marker defence buy burrowing over from short range to give Rangers an early lead. Conversion missed by Jordan Green. 0 – 4.

Chester would be next to score and level up the scores, some frantic Rangers defence doing well to stop numerous shifts across the field from the Gladiators, but the expansive play eventually found a gap in the Rangers line. Jonny Rae going over right in the corner, conversion missed 4 – 4.

With 35 minutes gone, the game was being played at a frantic pace but was looking like the scores would be level at half time.
