EMBED THE PATHWAY
Embed the Pathway is a curriculum based delivery resource aligned to Key Stage 3. There are a total of 24 lessons that focus on;
- Game Skills
- Movement Skills
- Mental Skills
Of the 24 lessons 8 are designed for Y7, 8 are designed for Y8 and 8 are designed for Y9. Each lesson takes the format of a lesson plan with clearly designed outcomes for each and the opportunity to fit the lesson against the needs and development levels of the pupils. Each lesson additionally comes with games cards, movement skills cards and suitable resources to allow the teacher to use in entirety or be a reference and template to work from. For teachers to access the resource they will be required to attend localised CPD events for Embed The Pathway delivered by Salford Red Devils in their locality. The CPD orientates the teacher to the resource of which full and further details are available here at http://www.embedthepathway.co.uk. All Schools that adopt and deliver ETP have the opportunity to register themselves as an England RL Player Development School. A kite mark that recognises the delivery they do as being aligned to the player development needs of 11-14 year olds. Adopting ETP as the structure for curriculum delivery has the requirement to enter local competition. This competition is currently being discussed with the CSP and relevant SGOs and will sit as a Stage 2 competition. Manchester Rangers as the local community club will be offering additional coaching support along competition administration and its usual high level of publicity.
